MILITARY QUALIFICATIONS

TIMING YOUR TRANSITION:
Military applicants wanting to transition as quickly as possible should plan to take a civil service exam that is closest to when they will receive their official DD-214. The official DD-214 is required to complete the background process. Applicants with questions about their transition timeline should contact a recruiter.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR FORMER MILITARY:

Must be at least 21 years old

Must be a United States Citizen

Must possess a high school diploma or G.E.D

College hours:
-
Waived completely for applicants who have completed 3 or more years of active duty military service and received an honorable discharge.

Must not have been discharged from any military service under less than honorable conditions, including:

Bad conduct.
-
Dishonorable
-
Any other characterization of service indicating bad character

Must not have any criminal convictions above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor, or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years
